TicTacToeBot
A fully wireless robot built for the 2023 MEC Senior Design Challenge. It achieved the fastest completion time and placed second overall.
A weekend of robots and Tic-Tac-Toe
For the 2023 McMaster Engineering Competition, our four-person team had a weekend to build a robot that could navigate the Senior Design Challenge course and manipulate game pieces in a Tic-Tac-Toe relay.
We paired an ESP32-based handheld controller with another ESP32 on the robot. Two driven wheels provided differential steering, including turns in place, while a small servo-actuated lever interacted with the course elements. I was the team’s Software Engineering member and worked on the controller and robot firmware. The finished robot recorded the fastest completion time and placed second overall.
